Accoyo Herdsire, Accoyo Alpaca Herdsires
Our herdsire, ABA Accoyo Pegasus, is a direct descendant
of macho import, Ppperuvian Don Juan from Estancia Accoyo,
and an American born dam of two Peruvian imports. Don
Julio Barreda, the owner and operator of the Estancia
Accoyo ranch for over four decades, created the best
white-fleeced alpacas in the world. Accoyo alpacas are
known for the extreme fineness and density of their
fleece, brightness and luster, uniformity of fleece
and crimp, and larger sized alpacas. Having produced
multiple generations of consistent quality in the Accoyo
lines, those bloodlines are now highly desirable.
